If you think that you have been had by one of those low down dirty rats then this is my advice to you.

  1. Contact the seller in question and ask him to confirm where he bought the game from.
  2. Ask the seller if he knew that he was selling a bootleg game and if he is willing to refund you the purchase price.
  3. Inform the seller that what he is doing is against the law.
  4. If purchased online (Trademe) contact the webmaster or site admins to complain about the seller and last but not least leave a negative feedback to warn any future buyers against buying the pirates wares.

Some of the consequences of buying a pirated GBA game.

  1. You could be unwittingly aiding the in the demise of budding game developers by depriving the rightful beneficiaries of the income from the game sale.
  2. You could be left with a faulty game (they have been known to fail) and will be out of pocket.
  3. If you try to sell it later on and the new buyer knows that it is a pirate game then you could face prosecution and be liable for all costs.
  4. If your friends find out then you will be a social outcast and not invited to all the cool parties unless it’s a fancy dress ball and you can go as a pirate.
  5. You will develop a limp and start ending all you sentences with ‘ARrr’
