If
you think that you have been had by one of those low down dirty rats then this
is my advice to you.
- Contact
the seller in question and ask him to confirm where he bought the game
from.
- Ask
the seller if he knew that he was selling a bootleg game and if he is
willing to refund you the purchase price.
- Inform
the seller that what he is doing is against the law.
- If
purchased online (Trademe) contact the webmaster
or site admins to complain about the seller and
last but not least leave a negative feedback to warn any future buyers
against buying the pirates wares.
Some of
the consequences of buying a pirated GBA game.
- You
could be unwittingly aiding the in the demise of budding game developers
by depriving the rightful beneficiaries of the income from the game sale.
- You
could be left with a faulty game (they have been known to fail) and will
be out of pocket.
- If
you try to sell it later on and the new buyer knows that it is a pirate
game then you could face prosecution and be liable for all costs.
- If
your friends find out then you will be a social outcast and not invited to
all the cool parties unless its a fancy dress ball and you can go as a
pirate.
- You
will develop a limp and start ending all you sentences with ARrr
